Facilitator
Jiri is an IAKP Master Kambô Practitioner and Teacher based in Tauranga, New Zealand. He has been working with Kambô since 2011 and is dedicated to holding safe, respectful, and transformative ceremonies across Aotearoa.

Kambô crossed my path in 2011, when I sat my first ceremony with Giovanni Lattanzi in the Czech Republic. The experience left a deep impression—opening a profound source of healing and transformation. Soon after, I moved from my home country to Aotearoa, where there was little access to the medicine, so I began travelling back to Europe and South America to learn more and experience a range of ceremonial styles.
In 2016 I trained with Master Practitioner Karen Kanya-Darke under the International Association of Kambô Practitioners (IAKP) and became a certified practitioner, bringing Kambô to New Zealand. In 2017 my path led me deep into the Amazon, to the Peruvian–Brazilian border, where I learned the traditional use of Kambô directly from the Matsés tribe. Time with the indigenous people and the Kambô frog instilled in me a lasting respect for this ancient practice, its people, and its spirit.
In the years that followed I completed my IAKP Advanced Practitioner training, and later qualified as a Kambô Trainer and finish individual program to become IAKP Master Kambô Practitioner.

During those years I have done 3000+ Kambô servings across New Zealand and abroad, held dedicated deep dive workshops, shared the knowledge on festivals and trained new Kambô practitioners.
As of 2025, I run monthly Kambô ceremonies in Tauranga and Auckland, and I also support those called to train and work with this powerful warrior-spirit medicine.

Beyond Kambô, I lead transformative workshops and residential retreats that weave modalities such as sweat lodge, firewalking, drumming, dance, and breathwork—inviting the body’s healing intelligence to guide the process. I’m particularly interested in practices that safely open non-ordinary states of consciousness and the insights they can offer.
My passion for conscious/ecstatic dance led me to facilitate a blindfolded form known as Trance Dance Ritual. I am also certified in OSHO Dynamic Meditations and Holotropic Breathwork through Grof Transpersonal Training.
